Objective of the Program

The Department of Industrial Engineering İstanbul Kültür University aims for its students, who will work in production and service sectors, to be successful both nationally and internationally in their professional lives with the institutional and practical knowledge it provides. Using their specialized knowledge gained in various fields at the beginning of their professional lives, our graduates are trained to be top managers in all sectors. The graduates of the Department of Industrial Engineering at İstanbul Kültür University are also trained to acquire the ability to continuously refresh their knowledge, learn and develop creative systems with the discipline they have gained.

Establishment

İstanbul Kültür University was established on July 15, 1997 under the law no. 4281; the Department of Engineering was established under the chairmanship of Dean Prof. Dr. Okay Erkoray and the Department of Industrial Engineering was established under the chairmanship of Prof. Dr. Tülin Aktin; it accepted its first students in the 1997-1998 academic year. İstanbul Kültür University’s Department of Industrial Engineering started its activities in the main building of the Şirinevler Campus in 1997 and has been continuing to provide education on the Ataköy Campus since 2005.. 

Degree

Students who have successfully completed all the required courses in the four-year curriculum, have at least 249 ECTS and have completed their 40-day compulsory internship are granted a bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering.

Medium of Instruction

The medium of instruction in our department is English. Students are required to score at least 75 points on TOEFL, 6 points on IELTS, 80 points on KPDS, or 80 points on ÜDS to prove that they have sufficient English language skills. Students who are unable to pass the English proficiency test receive 1 year of English language education in the English preparatory class.
