The Faculty of Engineering and Architecture, which was established on July 9, 1997 per the law numbered 4281, is one of the first faculties of İstanbul Kültür University. Prof. Dr. Okay Eroskay, who became the founding dean of the department on September 1, 1997, handed this position to Prof. Dr. Murat Taylı in 2008. Prof. Dr. Tülin Aktin served as the dean between 2009-2012 and 2017-2020; Prof. Dr. Yusuf Hatay Önen served as the dean between 2012-2017; and next, Prof. Dr. Ahmet Murat Türk served as the dean between 2020 and 2021. Prof. Dr. Fadime Üney-Yüksektepe has been holding the position of dean since November 2021.

The Department of Industrial Engineering was founded in 1998 within the Faculty of Engineering and Architecture of our university and under the chairpersonship of Prof. Dr. Tülin Aktin. She served as the head of the department between 1997-2017. The task carried out by Prof. Dr. Fadime Üney-Yüksektepe between January 2018 and September 2022 is run by Assist. Prof. Zeynep Gergin as of September 20, 2022. The Faculty of Engineering and Architecture, which was established in Şirinevler Campus in 1997, has been continuing its education life in Ataköy Campus since 2004. The name of the faculty was changed as the Faculty of Engineering in 2011 and a separate Faculty of Architecture was established.
