FORD FACTORY TECHNICAL TRIP

The Department of Industrial Engineering organized a technical trip to FORD on Monday, May 22, between 10.30-13.00, in order for students to observe production processes and understand the importance of production planning and control principles within the scope of "IE6404 Production Planning and Control" course.

“CAPSIM FOUNDATION SPRING CHALLENGE” SUCCESS OF OUR GRADUATE

Alptuğ Beteroğlu, one of our 2022 graduates of the Department of Industrial Engineering, advanced to the finals overcoming about a thousand students in the 2023 CAPSIM Foundation Spring Challenge and finishing the competition in 6th place.

Alptuğ Beteoğlu first become known in the “Business Simulation” course given by IKU Acting Rector and a faculty member of the Department of Industrial Engineering Prof. Fadime Üney Yüksektepe, later achieving great success in the competition held virtually in 2023 and attended by different participants from 15 countries.

THE SUCCESS OF ASSIST. PROF. İLAYDA ÜLKÜ AND HER GRADUATE STUDENT

The study titled “Triggering Corporate Sustainable Performance in Construction Sector through Green Training: Moderating Effect of Barrier in Construction Management” prepared by the Vice President of the Department of Industrial Engineering Assist. Prof. İlayda Ülkü and her graduate student Imran WARIS has been accepted for publication in the Journal of Sustainable Construction Materials and Technologies.

“A PRODUCTION LINE ASSIGNMENT PROBLEM FOR A TEXTILE INDUSTRY”

“A Production Line Assignment Problem for a Textile Industry” titled work, prepared together by Naira Abdelsalam, Fardus Mohammoud, Hüseyin Eder, Ahmed Abuyousef, Öncel Kaya and Akif Can Kılıç, the thesis students of the Vice Chairperson of Department of Industrial Engineering Assist. Prof. İlayda Ülkü, was accepted to be published in the Journal of Engineering Sciences and Design.

EKOL LOGISTICS TECHNICAL TRIP

As part of the "IE7453 Supply Chain Management" course, the Department of Industrial Engineering organized a technical trip to Ekol Logistics between 12.30-16.30 on Wednesday, December 7, in order for students to observe the processes in the warehouse and understand the importance of the warehouses in the supply chain.

A TECHNICAL TRIP TO THE DEFACTO SMART LOGISTICS WAREHOUSE WAS ORGANIZED

As a part of the “IE5403 Facilities Design and Planning” course given in the Department of Industrial Engineering a technical visit was organized to the smart logistics warehouse of DeFacto in Çerkezköy on Monday, December 5, in order for students to observe the process of goods receiving, smart storage operations and shipment processes on site.

DEPARTMENT OF INDUSTRIAL ENGINEERING HAD OUR GRADUATE ÖZDEN TOZANLI AS THE SPEAKER IN A SEMINAR

Department of Industrial Engineering organized a seminar as a part of the "Supply Chain Management" course. The event, where Özden Tozanlı, one of our 2011 graduates, shared her experiences after graduating, was held virtually on the CATS platform on Monday, November 21.

The article titled “Prediction of University Students’ Subjective Well-Being with Sleep and Physical Activity Data using Classification Algorithms” written by Res. Assist. Akif Can Kılıç from the Department of Industrial Engineering has been accepted for publication in the “Procedia Computer Science” journal.

ASSIST. PROF. ZEYNEP GERGİN'S ARTICLE PREPARED WITH GRADUATION PROJECT STUDENTS HAS BEEN PUBLISHED IN THE “BUSINESS STUDIES JOURNAL”

The article titled "A New Organizational Agility Assessment Approach Applied in the Logistics Industry", prepared by one of the academicians in the Department of Industrial Engineering, Assist. Prof. Zeynep Gergin and her graduation project students Mehmet Miraç Ak, Eren Çolak, Mustafa Kayalar and Can Deniz Yavaşoğlu, has been published in the "Business Studies Journal".
