OUR INDUSTRIAL ENGINEERING STUDENTS HAVE BEEN ACCEPTED TO LIFT UP INDUSTRY-ORIENTED UNDERGRADUATE GRADUATION PROJECTS PROGRAM

Under the guidance of Prof. Dr. Murat Ermiş, our senior students Hacı Mahmut Demirkutlu, Şevval Aygün, Selay Berker, Ayşe Ulaşlı, and Gizem Özcan from the Department of Industrial Engineering have been accepted into the 2024-2025 LIFT UP Industry-Oriented Undergraduate Graduation Projects Program run by TUSAŞ.

In scope of their graduation projects, our students will focus on solving the “Flow-Shop Job Assignment Problem in Machine Tools.”

INTERNATIONAL SYMPOSIUM FOR PRODUCTION RESEARCH 2024

Our faculty members and alumni from the Department of Industrial Engineering presented their work at the “International Symposium for Production Research 2024” held in Budva, Montenegro, between October 10-12.

RESEARCH PROJECT APPLICATIONS OF THE FACULTY MEMBERS OF THE DEPARTMENT OF INDUSTRIAL ENGINEERING WERE ACCEPTED

Two General Research Project (GAP) proposals applied by the faculty members of the Department of Industrial Engineering were accepted by the Scientific Research Projects Coordination Unit.

Project details are as follows:

1) Machine Learning Based Dynamic Air Traffic Flow Optimisation in High Density Low Altitude Airspace for Future Urban Air Mobility

“DEPARTMENT OF INDUSTRIAL ENGıNEERING SEMINAR: ZEYNEP CEREN SÖĞÜT”

Zeynep Ceren Söğüt, a 2023 graduate, participated as a speaker in the seminar held on Thursday, October 10, as part of the “ENC1001-Engineering Orientation” course given in the Department of Industrial Engineering. Söğüt, who continues her career as Fuel Supply Assistant Specialist at Istanbul Jet, made a presentation on lifelong learning.

ASSIST. PROF. İBRAHİM ETHEM TARHAN'S STUDY WAS PUBLISHED IN THE PROCEEDINGS BOOK

The full-text paper titled “A Study on Family Businesses Started by Women Entrepreneurs as First Generation and Their Sustainability,” co-authored by Assist. Prof. İbrahim Ethem Tarhan from the Department of Industrial Engineering, was published in the Proceedings of the 10th Family Business Congress.

43RD NATIONAL CONGRESS OF OPERATİONS RESEARCH AND INDUSTRIAL ENGINEERING

Our faculty members and graduates from the Department of Industrial Engineering participated in the 43rd National Congress of Operations Research and Industrial Engineering, held in Trabzon between October 2-4, to present their work. Istanbul Kültür University Department of Industrial Engineering was one of the top three universities in the congress with the highest number of participants this year, just like last year.

The article titled "THE IMPACT OF COVID-19 ON THE TECHNOLOGY SECTOR: THE CASE OF A TURKISH CONSULTANCY COMPANY", prepared by Assist. Prof. İlayda Ülkü, Deputy Head of the Department of Industrial Engineering, together with her graduate student Eda Gözütok, was accepted to be published in the Engineers and Machinery Magazine.

ASSIST. PROF. DUYGUN FATİH DEMİREL'S ARTICLE HAS BEEN ACCEPTED FOR PUBLICATION

The article titled "Investigation of Policies for the Elimination of Mucilage in the Sea of Marmara with System Dynamics", co-authored by Assist. Prof. Duygun Fatih Demirel, Deputy Head of the Department of Industrial Engineering, was accepted to be published in Kahramanmaraş Sütçü İmam University Journal of Engineering Sciences.
